Jennifer Mortensen

Jennifer joined the Board of Historic Tacoma in 2018. She is a preservation professional and is the Preservation Services Coordinator for the Washington Trust for Historic Preservation, the statewide nonprofit group dedicated to historic preservation.

At the Washington Trust, Jennifer works on advocacy and outreach regarding best historic preservation practices in communities statewide and manages several programs including Washington's Most Endangered Places, the Youth Heritage Project, the Valerie Sivinski Fund, the Heritage Barn Grant Program, and This Place magazine. Jennifer also currently serves as a commissioner on the Tacoma Landmarks Commission. Jennifer holds an MS in Architecture History and Theory (with a Certificate in Historic Preservation) from the University of Washington in Seattle.
