Originally from Fuzhou—one of Tacoma’s sister cities—Wendy has lived in cities like Beijing and Detroit, where she developed a deep appreciation for historic neighborhoods and the stories they hold. These experiences, along with her collaborations with architects, developers, property owners, and innovative building material manufacturers, have shaped her passion for historic preservation and adaptive reuse.
