Kathleen Brooker

Serves as Historic Tacoma’s Board President and Co-Chair of the Preservation Committee. She is a preservation professional who has most recently served as the Executive Director of Historic Seattle.

Kathleen's prior experience includes non-profit and government positions with Historic Denver and the NM state preservation office. Trained as an architect, Kathleen and her husband Tim McDonald enjoy working on their historic home in Tacoma’s North Slope neighborhood. In addition to serving as Historic Tacoma’s Vice President, she is also Co-Chair of the Preservation Committee. Kathleen believes that preservation and design review create strong neighborhoods and attractive downtowns. She admires craftsmanship in all its forms and enjoys serving on the board of the Northwest School of Wooden Boatbuilding in Port Hadlock.
