Felicity Devlin

Felicity Devlin is an archaeologist and environmental advocate whose career has focused on preserving historic, cultural, and natural resources, from excavating colonial sites with the Colonial Williamsburg Foundation to leading nonprofit conservation and education initiatives.

Born in the United Kingdom and arriving in the United States in 1978, Felicity’s journey west—from Virginia to Michigan to Oregon and Washington—sparked a deep appreciation for the richness of American history. After graduating from College of William and Mary, she worked as a field archaeologist with the Colonial Williamsburg Foundation, excavating seventeenth- and eighteenth-century colonial sites and occasionally participating in archaeological work on Roman sites in the Mediterranean and the UK. Throughout her career, Felicity has focused on preservation and conservation, including work as a program manager for nonprofit organizations dedicated to environmental protection and community education. She holds an MA in Ancient Mediterranean Art & Archaeology and an MS in Environmental Policy & Advocacy from the University of Michigan and is passionate about protecting historic, cultural, and natural resources.
